Welcome to Proximity Insight

Last month we welcomed Naif Alkhalaf and Thana’a Al Mabuk to our head office in London.

Naif and Thana’a join us for an 8 week internship from Saudi Arabia through the Misk Program. The program, in partnership with Capital Placement in London, aims to empower new graduates and young professionals to gain international work experience and help build new skills to launch their careers.

Thana’a majored in Communication and Journalism at the University of St. Thomas in Minnesota, USA.

“During my time at university I worked multiple jobs as a marketing copywriter and also worked with justice and peace non-profit organisations. My place in all of it was the practice of story-telling and what it means to those around me. After six years I moved back to Saudi where I worked as a freelance writer and I wrote stories about my community.”

After joining the Misk Program, Thana’a says “Proximity Insight felt like the right fit for me as I am expanding my skill set. I’m open to new challenges and I enjoy working with people who are passionate about what they do, which inspires me to do the same.”

Naif recently completed his Masters in International Business in Dublin, Ireland.

“Since I was young, I’ve travelled around the world to learn English and experience different cultures with my twin brother. I lived in Australia for 8 years where I finished my Bachelor’s in Accounting. Then I moved back home to work at Grant Thornton, an accounting firm.”

Naif says he came to London to experience new things and learn more.

“I realised that every challenge gave me an amazing experience where I made connections with new people and gained knowledge from my journey. After attending a number of meetings with the Customer Success team at Proximity Insight, I’ve enjoyed learning about omnichannel strategy and the evolution of seamless technology. I’m currently working on building a Voice of Customer programme which is challenging and exciting at the same time.”
