NRF 2025: Cold Weather, Warm Connections, and a Better-Than-Ever Experience

Kicking Off NRF with the Vendors in Partnership Awards

As always, we started NRF week with the Vendors in Partnership (VIP) Awards on January 10th, 2025. This year’s event was truly special, and we were honored to attend alongside two of our esteemed clients: Toni Scarpaci, Director of Omnichannel Operations and CRM at Max Mara, and Ryan Holm, DVP of Retail Innovation and Operations at Helzberg.

The evening was a fantastic opportunity to meet new friends, reconnect with familiar faces, and celebrate industry achievements. A special thank you to Ryan Holm for nominating us — we couldn’t be more grateful, and to take home the Best Kept Secret award was so exciting! And a huge congratulations to Toni Scarpaci, who won Retail Partner of the Year, a well-deserved recognition for her outstanding contributions.

Engaging Conversations and Exciting Opportunities at Our Booth

Once our team was set up at booth #760, we jumped into the action, meeting new brands and reconnecting with existing clients. This year, AI dominated the conversation, with many vendors sharing their latest advancements and visions for the future of retail technology.

We had the pleasure of engaging with forward-thinking brands eager to learn more about the Retail Super-App, and we’re excited to continue these conversations with several follow-up meetings already scheduled.

Strengthening Client Relationships Beyond the Conference Floor

NRF is more than just a conference—it’s a unique opportunity to connect with clients in person. We made the most of our time in New York by meeting with clients who traveled for NRF but are based outside the city. Sharing lunches in NYC with our clients is always a highlight, offering valuable time to discuss goals, challenges, and opportunities in a more relaxed setting.

A Successful Customer Advisory Board Event

On Wednesday after the final day of NRF we hosted our Customer Advisory Board (CAB) event at the Salesforce Tower, bringing together a fantastic group of retail leaders. Many of our NYC based clients joined us, along with those who traveled in for the week. The event featured inspiring presentations, including:

  • A keynote by Martin Newman, offering valuable insights into industry trends
  • A roadmap presentation from our new CTO, Marcus Dawson, showcasing the exciting future of Proximity
  • A session from Ryan Holm from Helzberg Diamonds, sharing key retail innovations and insights.

The CAB event was an incredible opportunity for knowledge-sharing, idea exchange, and meaningful networking among our community.

Closing NRF with Quarterly Business Reviews

To wrap up the week, we met with our NYC based clients for Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs). Reflecting on the strong results from 2024 and strategizing for the year ahead was the perfect way to end an action-packed week. We’re immensely grateful for the hospitality of our clients and energized by the exciting opportunities ahead in 2025.

The Power of In-Person Connections

NRF is always a highlight of the year, not just for business but for the relationships it strengthens. With colleagues flying in from different regions, it’s a valuable time to connect with both our North American clients and our internal team. There’s something truly special about in-person collaboration, and we look forward to carrying this momentum into the year ahead.
