Highlights from Our 2025 Summer Store Tour
14/07/2025 | by Blair McVicar

Last Tuesday, we hosted our annual Summer Store Tour, and it was a brilliant reminder of why we do what we do.
From the beautiful interior of Farrow & Ball to the effortless elegance of JOSEPH and the playful sophistication of Paul Smith, we had the opportunity to see our platform in action in three very different retail environments and some very different use cases.
Each stop gave us fresh perspective on how Proximity supports store teams, and then we capped the morning with a delicious lunch at Fortnum & Mason’s Food & Drink Studio.
Learning from the Best
One of the highlights of the day was our fireside chat featuring:
- Ines Cointement, Founder & CEO of clienteling agency Seniac
- Martin Newman, globally recognised expert in customer centricity
- Cathy McCabe, our own CEO here at Proximity
Together, they explored how store teams can unlock real value through meaningful, data-driven customer interactions, and why genuine human connection remains retail’s most powerful differentiator.
A Huge Thank You
We’re so grateful to the brands who opened their doors and shared their stories with such openness and candour, and to our fantastic guests for making the day so special.
A special shout-out to Rachel Curtis, Nikki Hunter, Karen Walsh, and Jacinta Furlong-Walker for their thought-provoking input and for helping spark such rich conversations.
Why It Matters
There’s simply no better way to understand the power of clienteling than by witnessing it on the shop floor. Tools and technology matter, but it’s the people using them who bring the magic.
Thank you to everyone who joined us. We left feeling energised, proud, and more committed than ever to helping retailers turn every customer interaction into something meaningful.
Here’s to next year!
