Discover Retail Innovation: Our Summer Store Tour — And What’s Next

Last summer, we welcomed a group of forward-thinking retailers for an exclusive day exploring how technology, store design, and customer experience come together to drive modern retail success.

Our Proximity Summer Store Tour took guests behind the scenes of some of London’s best examples of in-store innovation. We visited retailers like Rodd & Gunn, TUMI, Joseph and Paul Smith to show how our clienteling platform is being used in real environments to connect store teams with customers in smarter, more personal ways. We also stopped at Gymshark Regent Street for a masterclass in how technology can enhance physical retail. From interactive digital experiences to clever event layouts that keep energy high and visitors engaged, Gymshark demonstrated how innovation and brand storytelling go hand-in-hand to create unforgettable shopping moments.

Throughout the day, we explored key themes that are shaping the future of retail:

  • How putting technology in the hands of store teams transforms the customer journey

  • The power of appointment booking and clienteling in driving higher spend and loyalty

  • How innovative space design and events can turn a store into a true brand experience

We wrapped up the day with a special lunch at Fortnum & Mason, followed by a series of inspiring talks from guest speakers, who shared fresh perspectives on creating world-class retail experiences.
